I PASSED!!!

I'm here typing furiously on my new IBM thinkpad x31 laptop. I don't think I can ever forget this day. 25 August 2004. The day I passed my practical driving test. I can drive on the road now!!!

I can still recall all that happened in the morning. I went to SSDC and went for the warm-up drive. Car 36. I think my favourite number in the world other than 23 (my birthday) and 6 (my fixed SSDC car).

Just as I went up to the 3rd floor to draw lots, it started pouring. It rained and rained. The road was slippery and visibility was poor despite my attempts to turn the wiper and headlights on.

I drove real slow. Hardly even reached 4th gear at all. Most of the time I drove cautiously in 3rd gear. I was afraid the tester would mark me down for road hogging.

Then, there was this stupid jay-walker who appeared out of nowhere and I nearly hit him. Idiot. Nearly spoilt my chances of passing...

But I passed anyway, thankfully, with a whooping 6 point score.
