EXAMS FINALLY OVER!!!
Goodness! Finally the exams are over. I feel that these exams are the longest I've been through. I don't know why... Hmmm.. maybe because many of my friends have already finished their exams last week or over the weekend. Haiz. Nevermind. It's all over. Thank God for it. Now comes the worrying part. The results. I've always felt that this part is the hardest to cope.
They always say that if you study hard, you will get good grades. But honestly, I beg to differ. Hard work does not equal good returns. It is however hard work + good luck = good returns. It's true. That is why SRJC's Mrs Kok gave us all the horse-shoe collar pin before the A's.
Lady Luck has obviously not been shining on me this whole exams, so I'm probably going to suffer like crazy during the release of the results.
Oh, and can you believe it? On the night of my last day of exams, the NUS cast tv isn't working? What in the world is going on?!? Why isn't my TV working? Why must they do this to me? Don't they know I'm a TV freak?! I will burst without watching TV for one day.
Nevermind. At least I'm going home tomorrow. After more than 2 weeks of being away from home, I miss my bed. I miss my dusty room. I miss the smell of my bolster... and most importantly, I miss my TV!!!! And cable!!!!! I wanna watch TV!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, I just realised I forgot to mention my parents. Lol! Haha... Yeap... miss them too...
During the exam period, I realised something. I am now able to de-stress myself successfully by playing instrumental music. And it works! Its therapy! Free-of-charge somemore! But of course you gotta pay for the cds...(unless you wanna download them illegally... but that's illegal!) I've been playing Kevin Kern music over and over again in my MD till my ears are going to burst anytime soon. But honestly, the music is so soothing and my mind just simply unwinds by itself. Headaches gone in a flash!
My neighbour here at the hostel is going to Thailand for holiday tomorrow... Bon voyage, Ketty... remember to pack your boyfriend along in your suitcase!
Some people have all the luck. Get to go on holiday. Like Ketty. And Esther. Haiz. Me? I'm stuck here all alone. Why? Because my mum wants me to install braces because one day she woke up and to her absolute horror, she realised my teeth were jutting out. I heard putting on braces hurt a lot. Ketty's boyfriend, White Tail, says it does. That scares me.
This guy from Mauritius living in my hostel is appearing on TV this Friday at 8.30pm on Channel 8 in this variety show hosted by Mark Lee. I think its something about speaking in Mandarin, in which Nicholas absolutely cannot do. That Nicholas made a mistake with the time slot and everyone spent a fruitless Friday night watching channel 8 last week, in the midst of the exams. Its terrible how you await eagerly to watch a familiar face on TV and probaby wait to laugh in his face after that, and when the time comes, you realise you are watching Crime Watch instead.
Has anyone ever experienced some gadget of some sort, in which it doesn't work, and when you get the repair man to come, it miraculously works to the point that the repairman thinks you are just trying to waste his time?
It happened to me today. My laptop is the IBM one with an external base called a docking system. The docking land cable point has never ever worked before, for the 4 months in which I have had it. NEVER! So today after the exams, I brought it to the NUS comp Centre to get it fixed. They tested it. It didn't work, so they made me cross the road to the IBM centre because the hardware people were there. That hardware IT guy with thick specs and an electrifying hair came out, tried it, and lo and behold! It worked! So there was nothing wrong with my docking system. So I brought it back to my room in the rain. Plugged it in... and it worked. How the hell can a gadget which refuses to work for 4 months miraculously work out of the blue? Does that guy with thick specs and an electrifying hair have magic hands? I should have invited him to touch my exam scripts.
This Friday, there will be a competition at IMM. People will have to compete by watching a movie marathon, standing up. No sitting! Only standing. And not any movie but TVB serials!!! Haha! They will be airing Split Second, a serial which looks suspiciously like Infernal Affairs. TVB is now in a very terrible state as all their good veteran artistes are leaving one by one, by either quitting, or dying on them. Those left, are the green-horns who mostly cannot act and have no appeal whatsoever – to me, that is. Does that mean I have to give up my TVB watching and convert back to the good old SBC days of local movies? Despite criticizing our local stars, I must admit that I enjoyed the old SBC days of serials, where people like Zoe and Fann were still considered fresh faces, and the plots were considered acceptablly fun-to-watch. Now, I cannot be bothered to watch many of the serials, except Holland V, Double Happiness, and channel U's Changing Lanes. (Partly because I don't have cable here in the hall)
But anyway, I don't think I want to take part in the TVB watching competition. Although I'm a TV freak, I'm still worried that my eyeballs will fall off after 38 hours of Alex Fung and Yoyo Mung.
Instead, I'm probably going with Esther to Tiong Bahru plaza to watch Bobby AwYeung Chun Wah and Bowie Lam Bo Yi LIVE!!!!! Yey!!! I try to block out the fact that Sonja Kwok is also coming.
If anyone can realise, I'm trying to type as fast as I can now... before I... I...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
