Are Women Really Petty?

Maggie Cheung Ho Yee. One of my favourite TVB artistes. Lots of people ask me why I support her serials. Well, firstly, she can act. Secondly, she looks good. So why not?
Recently, she has been plagued with rumours all over town. I don't know if it's true, but she seems to have a reputation of being hard to get along. For a long time now, she was known to have been Jessica Hester Hsuan's arch-enemy. For what particular reason, I can't be really sure. I heard that the misunderstandings arose when Maggie was still a greenhorn to the industry. She had, and still has, a reputation of being late for filming. Jessica was also pretty unpleasant (I think?!?) at that time, and often picked on Maggie, and that "war" still continues till today...
Then Maggie seemed to have a spate of bad luck recently, especially after this years TVB anniversary. According to sources, she seemed to have offended many other female artistes during the anniversary show. One was of course Jessica. Jessica was polite enough to offer her congradulations to Maggie for winning the best actress award for her role as Sai Leung in "The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow". But Maggie, unluckily, enough, was caught on camara, ignoring Jessica's polite gesture. That led to a serious "war" between the two groups of fans, each loyally supporting their own idol.
Me? I stand on the middle ground. Why? Because I support both of them! They are both "A" list artistes with great acting skills and experiences. Each, brilliant in their own ways.
This wasn't over for Maggie, just yet. Not yet...
In the same anniversary show, she was also caught on tape, smirking at Charmaine Sheh, when Charmaine was making her speech. Oh goodness. What made people think it was a smirk? Isn't she even allowed to move her face muscles?!?
Anyway, this also led to Charmaine and Maggie enter a "Cold War", both ignoring each other. But hey, this industry will always be this industry. They love to spice things up. Made them act in a same serial, where their characters will be busily scheming against each other. Off screen, rumours have been going around that their relationship had worsen, causing inconvenience to the rest of the crew. Both their fans have also started to insult each other's idols in forums.
To make things worse, TVB actor Lawerence Ng, has to sprout nonsense to the press. He first mentioned that "all women are petty". This statement alone caused an uproar. Why? Because guys should know better than to offend women with sweeping statements like this. Haha. Then he has to go shoot this mouth off to the press about Maggie's habit of being late for filming, and commented that she was hard to get along. Honestly, is it ethical for him as an artiste to backstab a a fellow artiste in front of the press?!?
Good for Maggie that she took this comment to her stride. I think she laughed and thanked Lawerence for promoting her serial for her...=p
Kudos for the women!!!
