I Dreamt I was a Werewolf
Last night I dreamt a really real and extremely horrific dream. I dreamt I turned into a werewolf. Yes! Its me... the werewolf girl!
The dream started off with me and a group of friends (I can't remember who), running for our lives as we were terrorised by werewolves. My finger was bitten. (Note: bitten only... not bitten off), and I knew my time had come. I told my group to leave me, please, but they wouldn't do so. They didn't believe I got the werewolf virus... So they touched my skin and ouch. My stomach felt electrocuted... its like a hard tickle, or pins-and-needle feeling. I just felt uncomfortable beyond what I could withstand, and I let out a roar. A loud roar. A loud inhuman roar. It sounded like..."roOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR......" Hmmm... ok. So they were convinced. I felt the urge to bite someone...felt so uncomfortable, so I sunk my teeth into one of the girls necks, and blood started flowing out. It's so weird that I can actually taste the blood in my dream. Tasted weird. Haha.
Hmmmm... then I woke up. Time for lecture.
CNY
Ok.. it has been one week after CNY and the CNY spirit has died down already. Well, technically speaking, that's wrong, because I hadn't felt any spirit in me at all in the first place.
CNY to me has not much significance really. Not anymore now. In the past, as young kids, CNY meant no school plus hongbao. Really great. Get to meet all my cousins, something different from the everyday routine of going to school and staying at home, alone.
But as I grow older.. and now that I'm 19 going on 20, CNY just doesn't seem to have any effects anymore. I think I'm beginning to be more of a mugger than anything else. I was actually upset about the one week break from school... because it was disrupting my studying momentum... haha
But anyway, it was still enjoyable, nevertheless.
As usual, my family would gather at my paternal grandparents' place for reunion dinner. We cooked some, we bought some.. and we ate some. Then we chatted for a while and broke for home. I was down with flu a few days back... and after the dinner I felt ill, and went to bed early. What a way to spend the first day of the rooster year. Haiz. My dad, aunt, uncle and cousin went to the temple, like they always do every year to pray.
New Year Day itself was a little different this year. Instead of visiting my paternal grandparents first, we visited my mum's dad first. Then we went over to the other side for a late lunch. We ate the usual "mee sua" which is the longevity noodles eaten during new year and birthdays. My aunt complained that there was something wrong with the noodles and secretly threw away the entire pot. Sad - but necessary.
Anyway, I didn't do any visiting this year, but waited at my grandparent's place for people to visit. Yeah, lots of people arrived in the afternoon and one family which arrived so late in the night...
They came at the wrong timing and we were too polite to say anything because normally at around 9.30pm, us, the kids would go to the nearby theatre to watch a movie... just as we were desperate to catch a movie, the adults were, too, itching to play cards.
We were so bored, we hid in the room and exchanged handphones and tried to beat each other's high scores.
Anyway, we couldn't stand it anymore and so the group of us marched out of the house and down to the theatres. That should give the guests a hint, at least. Haha.
Oh yeah, we watched "Seoul Raiders" which started at about 11.15pm. Why Seoul Raiders? Because the rest of the movies had bad timing. And horror movies arn't good to watch on the first day of CNY. There were 8 of us altogether. My cousin's girlfriend, Lisa joined us too.
The movie ended about 1.30am or so, and we went home after that.
The second day of CNY wasn't much. People still came to visit my grandparents and many angpow's exchanged hands, but the kids were so desperate to finish their homeworks in time for school the next day. I just don't get it.. why must teachers always give homework and tests to be due the day after the CNY hols? Its a friday, anyway... can't the schools just declare a day holiday in good faith?
Anyway, happy new year, you people...
Where's my angpow?
