My First Day at Work and My Boss Today, I started my very first day at work. Yes, my first day at work is a Saturday. Isn't that sad that while others can enjoy their weekend, I have to struggle at work?

Actually, my first day was not bad. In fact, it was excellent! There was nothing for me to do at all! All I did was to draft 2 letters for the boss and that was it! It took me less than half an hour. Then, I was free!!! I had absolutely nothing to do. I just stared at the wall till dinner time.

That was when the boss walked out and said, "Adelyn, you are new to this area, shall I bring you around for dinner?"

I gave her a grateful smile and nodded my head in appreciation.

We walked out and both of us looked up in union. The sky was dark. It started drizzling.

She pointed to the direction of the carpark.

"Shall I drive?" She asked.

I shrugged.

We got in the car. New jeep-like car. Nice.

"What do you want to eat?" She questioned.

After much deliberation, we decided on Macdonalds.

She paid for the meal and carried the tray of food. We sat and ate.

Since there was nothing much to do in the office on Saturdays, she invited me to the Racial Harmony Activity held at Xinmin Primary. She introduced me to all the RC members and grassroot leaders present.

After the celebration, she drove me back to the office where I continued to stare at the wall till 10pm.

Then its au revoir to the office till lundi.
