Tiger Cup semi finals
Just caught the match between Singapore and Myanmar. I'm never a Singapore soccer fan, but just happened to catch the last 20 minutes or so of the match. Wahhhhh... cool match, man. At that time, Singapore was trailing Myanmar by 2 goals to 1. At that time, Myanmar was one man down.
Then suddenly, Singapore was awarded a penalty kick, and the Myanmar team started protesting. That started all the drama. The remaining game was purely dramatic. 2 men from the Myanmar team was sent off consecutively, one for protesting against the referee's decision of awarding the penalty. The second, for kicking mud at the officials in protest of their decision to kick off the other defender. So both Myanmar defenders went off.
Then Singapore missed the penalty kick. Such lousy skills.
Later, wahhhh.... so dramatic.. both teams were on the verge of punching each other. Then the Myanmar's reserve goalkeeper threw a waterbottle at this Singapore player. The goalkeeper got sent off the stadium with the fans cheering him. The spectators started throwing things down... waterbottles... I saw an umbrella...
Then one of our Singapore players hit the other Myanmar guy on the field, then the whole bunch of Myanmar players started confronting him, shoving him...
Wahhh.. haha... more interesting than drama, man...
In the end, Singapore won 4-2 of course... How the hell can they lose when they were playing against only 8 men?
But honestly, Myanmar's playing is definitely much, much better than Singapore. Singapore's playing sucks and their goals were not based on skill but on luck. Singapore was lucky that the Myanmar players lost their cool, and had so many men sent out of the field. But in terms of sportsmanship, Myanmar still has lots to learn.
